Scholarship Overview
The GEM Postgraduate Fellowship Program provides an excellent opportunity for engineering students to enroll in a postgraduate program. The fellows are fully funded to study in the United States of America. The National GEM Consortium was founded in 1976 with the mission of increasing the participation of underrepresented groups at the master's and doctoral levels in engineering and applied science, thereby matching their specific skills to the specific technical needs of GEM employer members.
The GEM Fellowship was created to encourage underrepresented students to pursue graduate-level careers in fields such as research, development, and other high-level technical fields. It also provides exposure to a variety of academic opportunities.

Eligibility
Eligible candidates must meet the following:
- Applicants must be members of underrepresented groups in science and engineering, as defined by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
- Applicants are strongly encouraged to take the GRE in order to be considered for the Multiple GME Member University program.
- Applicants must be in an eligible career path in Engineering or Science.

Application Instructions
- Applicants for the GEM Postgraduate Fellowship Program must first register and start the application process through the eGEM - GEM online application system.
- Applicants must complete GRE questions, a statement of purpose, and three recommendation letters.
- Applicants should email an official transcript to Fellowships@gemfellowship.org.
- Application deadline is 15th November
