The University of Calgary is pleased to offer University of Calgary Scholarship Grants to all exceptional International candidates for the 2024/25 academic session in Canada. The University of Calgary International Scholarship is a prestigious award that recognizes an international student's outstanding achievements as they begin their undergraduate studies.

Scholarship value

The scholarship provides up to $20,000 renewable every year.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates must meet the following:

  • All nationalities are eligible
  • Annually offered to undergraduate international students entering their first year of any undergraduate degree in the upcoming fall term who have met the university's English Language Proficiency requirement.
  • Renewable in the second, third, and fourth years of study at the University of Calgary if recipients achieve a GPA of 2.60 or higher over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms and continue to pay an international differential tuition fee as an international student.
  • International students who are not Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents of Canada and are required to pay a differential fee
  • Academic excellence.

Application instructions

  • You may now begin your application. Create a UCalgary eID first.
  • Use the application guide to assist you in completing your application.
  • Submit your application and pay the application fee of $145.
  • You will be notify you in your Calgary Student Center about how and where to submit any required documents based on your application. More information can be found on the documents page.
  • Navigate to your Student Center via the myUofC portal.
  • Navigate to the "My Financials" page in your Student Center.
  • Scroll down to Awards & Scholarships and click on "Apply for Undergraduate Awards." Please make sure that popups are enabled. The page will not load if popups are disabled.
  • A pop-up window will appear on your screen, listing any open or recently closed applications.
  • Application deadline is 1st December
