Scholarship Value

The International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships offer generous financial support, with awards based on academic merit. The scholarship amounts vary, with the highest tier offering up to $40,000 CAD, distributed as $10,000 CAD per year over four years for students with a Canadian equivalent academic average of 90.0% or higher. Other scholarship tiers provide awards of $30,000 CAD ($7,500 CAD per year) and a one-time award of $6,000 CAD for the first year, depending on the student's academic achievements.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Lakehead University International Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships, applicants must:

  • Be non-Canadian citizens entering Lakehead University from a high school, or transferring from an international college or university.
  • Be entering Years 1, 2, or 3 of a minimum 4-year undergraduate degree program.
  • Have an academic average within the specified ranges for the different scholarship tiers.

Application Instructions

Interested students do not need to submit a separate application for these entrance scholarships. Eligibility for the scholarship is automatically considered upon admission to an undergraduate program at Lakehead University. Prospective students should ensure that their application for admission is submitted by the deadline of March 1, 2024. Scholarship offers will be extended in two rounds, with the first round in February 2024 and the second round in April 2024.
