Scholarship Overview

The Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship for Development are now open to international students. The scholarship is funded by the Rotary Foundation and provides grants for graduate research and course work for a period of one to four years.

The targeted areas of research and course work includes Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development and Peace and conflict prevention/resolution. The Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship for Development grants a minimum amount  $30,000 which will cover most of the student's needs.

The host institution(s) for the Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship for Development is any Rotary Foundation approved University outside of the applicant's home country.

The Level(s)/Field(s) of study are:

A master's or PhD research or course work in any of the following areas

  • Economic and community development
  • Basic education and literacy
  •  Maternal and child health
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water and sanitation

Students who will be offered the Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship are entitled to:

  • A minimum amount of $30,000 and a maximum amount of World Fund award of $400,000 which will cover tuition, room and board, travel expenses and other miscellaneous.
