Scholarship Overview

Teesside University provides educational opportunities for female football players. The Beth Mead Scholarship Grants are now available for International Students wishing to study in the United Kingdom. This scholarship was created in collaboration with Beth Mead, Arsenal Women and England footballer and Teesside University BA (Hons) Sports Development graduate, specifically for a national, international, or professional female footballer. The scholarship award is worth £1,200 over the course of their studies, in addition to other benefits.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates must meet the following:

  • Both domestic and international students may apply.
  • Sports-related undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at Teesside University can be applied for.
  • National, international, and/or professional female footballers who can positively contribute to sport at Teesside University through international level sports performance are encouraged to apply.
  • The applicants must have been accepted into a course at Teesside University.
  • Applicants must fulfill the entry and academic requirements of the course at Teesside University.
  • The recommended English language proficiency level is IELTS 5.0 or an equivalent English language test. English language proof that is compliant with UKVI may also be accepted.

Application instructions

Applications for admission can be submitted via the UCAS Portal or the university portal.
Students must submit academic transcripts from all previous schools, a copy of their passports, letters of recommendation, and personal statements.
