Scholarship Overview

Eligibility

To be eligible for the UAL Scholarships, candidates must:

  • Currently hold an offer to study a full-time taught master’s course at UAL for the academic year 2024/25, leading to an M ARCH, MA, MFA, MRes, or MSc qualification.
  • Be ordinarily resident in one of the low-income economy countries detailed in the list of qualifying countries, or be an asylum seeker in the UK at the point of application.
  • Have an annual household income of £50,000 or less (or equivalent in a qualifying country's currency).
  • Provide a personal statement addressing specific questions related to the impact of receiving the scholarship, future plans, addressing challenges in their home country, and upholding the values of social justice and environmental stewardship.

Application Instructions

Interested candidates should:

  1. Apply to the university for a qualifying master's course via the university's application portal.
  2. Upon receiving an offer for a qualifying course, the ‘my funding’ page on your UAL Applicant portal will be updated, showing application forms for scholarships you may be eligible for.
  3. Complete the scholarship application form, including a personal statement that responds to the scholarship's questions.

Deadline:

  • For courses starting in September/October 2024: Friday 5 July 2024
  • For courses starting in January 2025: 2 November 2024
