Eligibility:

  • Students willing to study in UK universities need a minimum 3.0 GPA on a scale of 4 or a 3.5 GPA on a scale of 5 to secure admission. However, the GPA requirements vary from university to university and chosen degree programs in the UK.
  • English Language Tests results; the UK universities and the UK government scholarships have waived off the IELTS requirements. On the other hand, they are also accepting IELTS alternative tests scores, like DET, PTE, TOEFL, OET, Trinity ISE, CAE, CPE, etc.

1. Chevening Scholarships:

The British government, Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), and partner organizations have announced the prestigious Chevening Scholarship scheme for applicants pursuing Master’s degree programs. Each year, about 15,000 students are selected for this scholarship at nearly 100 esteemed universities.

Candidates with a passion for Technology, Religion, Business, Media, or Politics are encouraged to apply for the Chevening scholarship program. Regarding language requirements, either IELTS scores or language certificates suffice to meet the Chevening Scholarships’ criteria.

2. British Government Great Scholarships:

The Great Scholarship, a collaborative initiative of the British Government Campaign and the British Council, is offered at prestigious UK universities. This fully-funded program is available to students pursuing postgraduate and Master's degrees, offering a scholarship reward of up to £10,000 for one year to cover tuition fees.

Eligible candidates include students from 18 countries, and those studying Law and Justice are also encouraged to apply. Applicants must meet the language requirements of their chosen university and apply by the due date with an acceptance letter and Bachelor’s degree.

Additionally, scholarship recipients will participate in a welcome event and a networking event during the first and second semesters, respectively. Preference will be given to students with relevant work experience in their field of study.

3. UK Government Welcome Scholarships:

Another notable scholarship from the UK government is the UK Government Welcome Scholarships, available to students from middle and lower-income countries. This scholarship is aimed at those enrolled in postgraduate studies and research programs, offering support for 12 months for Master's degrees and 18 months for research theses.

Recipients will receive £120,000 as a scholarship reward, a living stipend of £16,000 per annum outside of London and £18,000 per annum within London, along with visa and fee expenses covered. A key feature of this scholarship is that it does not require IELTS scores.

4. British Council Scholarships Without IELTS:
